Complementing our physiotherapy services, our Level 4 qualified sports massage therapists – Jim Crease, Angela Whiting, and Jennifer Read – along with Level 5-certified Phoebe Vane, offer essential support for your muscles between sessions, ensuring a comprehensive care experience.   • Bob Grainger

    FOUNDER

    Bob, a distinguished Chartered Physiotherapist from the University of East London (2001), boasts a diverse career that spans the NHS, Army Primary Healthcare, and elite sports therapy, including treating Team GB and Olympic athletes. In 2009, he earned his Masters in Advanced Physiotherapy Sports and Performance from Kings College London. His tenure as Lead Physiotherapist for Sky Professional Cycling Team saw him traveling extensively, overseeing musculoskeletal profiling, and ensuring riders' optimal racing positions. Bob's expertise further extends to working with world champion powerlifters, Peterborough Phantoms Ice Hockey Club's treble-winning season, and aiding local athletes across various sports at Bodywize gym. A fervent sports enthusiast, Bob understands injury's frustrations first-hand and remains devoted to maintaining his fitness. His prestigious affiliations include the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, The Health Professions Council, and he's a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, to name a few.

  • Patrycja Piatek

    PHYSIOTHERAPIST

    Patrycja, a Chartered Physiotherapist, proudly completed her studies at the renowned Medical University in Warsaw in 2006. In 2019, she brought her wealth of knowledge and experience to the PhysioFixx team. Throughout her esteemed career, Pat has deepened her understanding, acquiring specialist skills to aid and rehabilitate individuals of all ages who've seen their physical capabilities wane due to injuries or diseases. For the past 7 years, Pat has developed a passion for CrossFit and has competed in the European Championship in 2021 and 2022 - not only enhancing her personal fitness but drives her aspirations of becoming a CrossFit Coach—a pursuit she believes will greatly complement her physiotherapeutic approaches. In testament to her dedication to health and fitness, 2019 witnessed Patrycja's remarkable feat of completing 12 half marathons within the span of just 12 months.

  • Cameron Moore

    PHYSIOTHERAPIST

    Cameron, a Chartered Physiotherapist from the University of Essex (2022), further honed his expertise at PhysioFixx under the mentorship of lead Physiotherapist Bob Grainger. With a foundation in Clinical Exercise Science from Bournemouth University (2020), he uniquely combines academic knowledge with personal experience. After a significant football injury led him through rigorous rehabilitation, Cam offers a profound understanding of the patient's journey. Benefiting from PhysioFixx's advanced equipment, like the Alter-G Anti-gravity Treadmill, he recovered from a 2022 knee surgery ahead of schedule, further solidifying his trust in the rehabilitation process. Dedicated to fitness, Cameron is an avid runner and gym enthusiast, with a mission to guide others towards achieving their rehab goals.

  • Taylor Ball

    SPORTS THERAPIST

    Taylor, a Sport and Exercise Therapist from Leeds Beckett University (2020), quickly honed her expertise working alongside a senior lecturer in Leeds. Her therapeutic journey includes treating professional and amateur athletes spanning bodybuilding, rugby, and weightlifting, and supporting charity initiatives like the Great North Run and Leeds 10k run. Growing up, Taylor embraced a multitude of sports and has since championed hockey at a national league level, currently playing for Ipswich Hockey Club. As a treasured member of our team for almost a year, Taylor adeptly combines manual therapy, joint mobilisation, kinesiology taping, and exercise prescription to enhance musculoskeletal treatments for all. Ever-committed, she’s a pillar in our rehabilitation classes, ensuring injury prevention and re-injury risk reduction, always complemented by her contagious smile.

  • Josh Braker

    SPORTS THERAPIST

    Joshua, a dedicated Sport and Exercise Therapist, graduated from Essex University in 2022. During his academic journey, he gained hands-on experience as a sports massage therapist, extending his expertise to the University's basketball and volleyball teams, as well as professional athletes and the wider community. An athlete himself, Joshua has excelled in multiple sports, notably representing Great Britain in Handball and competing at the county level in Badminton. Currently, he channels his energy into enhancing his fitness and strength at the gym. Eager to further refine his skills, Joshua collaborates with PhysioFixx to ensure top-tier treatments for his clients.

  • Charlie Willmore

    SPORTS THERAPIST

    Charlie stands out as an accomplished Sports Therapist, having attained a First Class Honours degree from the University of East London in 2021. His personal encounter with exercise-induced injuries not only shaped his compassionate approach to therapy but also ignited his passion for the field. After his graduation, Charlie transitioned to Essex, where he has since made significant contributions to multiple Rugby teams across the county. His hands-on experience spans treating players of diverse ages, genders, and skill levels. As a proud and relatively new addition to our team, Charlie is in the midst of expanding his repertoire of skills through intensive training sessions under the tutelage of our lead Physiotherapist, Bob Grainger. Beyond his professional pursuits, Charlie maintains a dynamic lifestyle, dedicating his free time to weight training, swimming, and his newfound interest in rowing to name a few.

  • Jim Crease

    SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPIST

    Jim, an ITEC Level 4 certified Sports Massage Therapist, embarked on his professional journey in Norwich in 2016. Gaining significant experience with Norwich City Football Club Under 23’s, he provided essential post-game massages and catered to athletes at multiple running races and triathlons. Today, Jim extends his expertise to Team Bury and Bury Town Football clubs, offering pitch-side care and rehabilitation. An ardent sports enthusiast, Jim's fervor lies particularly in football. He's managed a boys football team through various age brackets and even led them on four European tours. Complementing his passion, he's also an FA-qualified referee. In a notable stint outside therapy, Jim served 14 years with the Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, actively participating in community events and fundraisers.

  • Angela Whiting

    SPORTS & HOLISTIC MASSAGE THERAPIST

    With over 15 years in the veterinary field and an animal medicine credential, Angela transitioned her career focus in 2017, qualifying as a Sports Massage Therapist and attaining her level 4 qualification the following year. A long-standing enthusiast of sports, Angela is an active member of the Stowmarket Striders Running Club, having participated in numerous races, notably the Brighton Marathon 2016. Dedicated to the sport, she marshals at races and supports the Great Run Local initiative. Beyond running, Angela enjoys playing netball twice weekly, cycling—evidenced by her completion of the Dunwich Dynamo 2018—and horse riding, though in a more leisurely capacity nowadays. Expanding her therapeutic offerings, Angela now incorporates Reflexology, Hot and Cold Stone therapy, and Indian Head Massage into her repertoire.

  • Phoebe Vane

    SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPIST

    Phoebe joins our team as a distinguished Sports Massage Therapist, having successfully acquired her BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Sports Massage and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy in 2023. Outside the professional realm, Phoebe is deeply passionate about crossfit and running. In fact, she recently showcased her dedication by completing the challenging Cambridge half marathon. We are genuinely excited to have Phoebe on board with us. With her presence at both the Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds Clinics, clients will enjoy increased flexibility in scheduling and greater availability of massage treatment slots, ensuring a holistic approach to their well-being.
