Sylvester Dengzee – Physiotherapist

Sylvester is Chartered Physiotherapist and graduated from the University of Ghana in 2010. After working in large regional hospital as a physiotherapist in both acute and outpatient settings, Sylvester went on to complete a Masters Degree in physiotherapy from the Anglia Ruskin University in 2013 with a Distinction and Dean’s award for academic excellence.

After completing his Masters degree, Sylvester worked as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist with AHP Suffolk for three years. He also worked as the first team physiotherapist for Woodbridge Rugby Club for four seasons gaining significant experience in treatment of sports injuries.

In 2016, Sylvester moved on to St Nicholas hospice (West Suffolk) where he worked as a senior physiotherapist for two and half years. During this time, he gained experience in the treatment and rehabilitation of people with life limiting conditions. More recently, before joining PhysioFixx fulltime he also worked within the NHS, as a senior physiotherapist.

Sylvester is also qualified to practice acupuncture and since 2015 has continually used acupuncture and gained experience in both musculoskeletal and palliative care settings. He is a registered member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapist.

Research and continual professional development is a passion of Sylvester’s. He has a keen interest in applying the latest research to his practice. He has authored a peer review research paper and also presented at an international conference on obesity and physical activity.

Outside work, Sylvester enjoys spending time with his family and enjoys walks in the country side. He enjoys woodwork and loves playing volleyball when he gets a chance.

We are very pleased that he joined the PhysioFixx team in 2019 working with us on a full time basis. Sylvester is able to offer early appointments from 7:30am.
