Megan trained at the University of Essex, graduating in 2017 as a Sports Therapist. Within her final year of study she worked alongside peers within the university Sports Therapy clinic. This enabled her to experience many differing injuries from every day aches and pains to specific sports injuries. She also found she had a very strong interest in Sports Massage and Taping.
She enjoys working in both clinical and event settings, and has completed work experience at various running events including Colchester and Brentwood marathons, providing pre and post event massage, stretching exercises and aftercare advice for runners of all ages.
Megan thrives working in a multi-disciplinary team to provide a high level of care to all patients. She believes in sourcing the main problem of a patient’s injury, before creating a plan to support their return to their daily activities. Whether this is returning to work, returning to exercise or playing sport competitively.
Her interests include playing netball regularly. Having been captain for her team for many years, and believes team work, independence and responsibility are essential skills within the sporting industry. She also enjoys swimming and cooking in her free time with friends or family.
