After 15 years working as a Formulation Chemist in the cosmetic industry Sam decided that she needed a career change so 3 years ago started her VTCT in Swedish massage this progressed into a Level 4 Sports Massage Qualification and she is currently working towards her Diploma in Sports Therapy through the education arm of the Society of Sports Therapist.
She holds membership to CTHA.
Since high school Sam has always been passionate about Sports and activity. Horse riding has been a constant throughout and as a young teenager she regularly competed at club level. Her interests are varied. With strong interests in Martial Arts she trained in Kung Fu for a number of years and competed at national level representing Scotland as an under 21, cycling, running and all things winter sports.
While at Uni studying she joined the University Ski and Snowboard club and learnt to Snowboard disappearing to Europe during the winter or occasionally shredding the slopes at Milton Keynes.
While training in Kung Fu Sam developed an interested is Strength and Conditioning and running using these to improve and maintain fitness levels no matter what her sport.
The running and cycling bug truly bit when she moved to England 13 years ago. A true love of all things running. Sam is a dedicated volunteer at her local running club coaching as a UK Athletics Running Coach and can also offer support in all aspects of training as a qualified level 3 Personal trainer.
